Hello Ladies! I hope you’ve all had an amazing week. Last weeks Fashion Informant did not happen because as you can see the blog was going through a much needed overhaul. There will still be a few slight changes but for the most part, here is The Life of the Party’s new look. I find myself restless any time I’ve had a blog design for over a year. I guess because I just haven’t found something that really wows me yet but I’m pretty happy with this new look and I think it’s going to stick around for awhile.
The dress I’m wearing is a long sleeve crease shift dress by WAYF. I really loved the fit and it works perfectly with a great pair of heels. It’s on sale at Nordstrom right now for $29.49 and if you order it, I would say be sure to select a size smaller than you are because it does run a little big. It would look great with a belt, or top it with a vest for added interest.
This was actually our second attempt at shooting this outfit. The first place was the ruins of an old summer palace for royalty here on the island that is known for paranormal activity. Or so I’ve heard. I don’t know if it was paranormal but it just wasn’t a good fit for this outfit. At one point an unexplained branch out of no where smacked my husband in the head…I don’t know if I believe all of that stuff but I will say, it did give me a chill.

This dress looks beautiful on you!! In your pictures the colors of the dress look so vibrant, whereas on the Nordstrom website the colors almost look more “pastel” to me…which would you say is how the dress looks in person? Also, loving your pumps!!
Thanks so much Kellie! I was totally surprised at how bright it was too in comparison to the picture on Nordstrom’s website. It is definitely closer to the color in my pictures.

Do you remember the Chicken Skin books, Alice? I have to say I lean towards that way as well. There is a hike my husband always goes on towards Kaaawa that I’ve had to pick him up from a few times. Each time eerie and questionable paranormal things have happened that make you go…hmmm….that was really strange.
