Really, I am! Throughout my entire childhood and teens I couldn’t wait to get off the farm. Now I can’t wait to get back to the quiet country life each summer! Could I live there again? Probably not but I won’t be giving up those visits anytime soon.
The Fashion Informant has been on vacation for about two months now but I hope that you will all join me once again! Life got a little crazy around here with a house flood, followed by a trip to NYC, back to Hawaii then straight back to the mainland. I’m a city girl living in the country. It has it’s perks, but it’s not really my cup of tea. I like the peace and quiet but I don’t drive so it can get a little old.
I love the little top you found. It’s very pretty and I think it could be styled for either country or city life. The shoes are fantastic, too!

I feel like the saying “once a country girl aways a country girl” rings true. I grew up in a farming community and like you couldn’t wait to get out! But, it feels nice to go back from time-to-time!

You are RIGHT ON there! It took quite a few years for me to feel that way again but it was something as simple as sitting on the porch with complete silence then getting back home and hearing the constant buzz of traffic and people. But that being said I’m usually ready to get back to my hectic life. Just nice to be able to have that little escape.
