There is still a chill in the air around here so I’m taking full advantage of the jeans. They’ve probably been included in the majority of the linkups. I’ve also decided to come out of the dark color slump with florals. I’m loving all of the Kimonos at Target right now. Lots of color for spring. Feeling incredibly tired these days so it was time to brighten the wardrobe.

Today I’m co-hosting with the lovely ladies, Miriam of Currently Wearing and Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge. I adore these two hearts and the wonderful messages they provide to their readers. What I love most about blogging is the comradery of supportive women.
Together we are celebrating International Women’s Day.
WHAT IS IWD?
“International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Run annually on March 8, the day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. IWD provides an important moment to showcase commitment to women’s equality, launch new initiatives and action, celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness, highlight gender parity gains and more.
The day is celebrated and supported globally by industry, governments, educational institutions, community groups, professional associations, women’s networks, charities and non-profit bodies, the media and more.
Collectively every person and all groups can make a difference within their sphere of influence by taking concrete action to help drive gender parity. From small powerful grassroots gatherings to largescale conference and event audiences – International Women’s Day Day is celebrated everywhere. It’s a big day for inspiration and change.” – www.internationalwomensday.com
I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by strong and supportive women my entire life. From my stoic grandmothers, hardworking mother, aunts, sister-in-law, friends and colleagues. Women still face many challenges so let’s continue to inspire, encourage and empower each other so that together we can make these much needed changes.
