Lately, I’ve been in a fashion rut as far as my everyday style. Part of it may be that it’s cooling off everywhere else but here and I’m seeing all kinds of fabulous new fall trends that I can’t join in on….I know…poor me. Someone stop the island girl from purchasing those leather pants that have been on the wish list!! Since I can’t justify those leather pants and biker jacket then I thought that I’d show you my ultra casual island style. It’s been incredibly hot lately, so the thought of putting on makeup and layering the jewelry is the furthest from my mind. This right here has been my main wardrobe lately.
I don’t know that Trucker hats are as big anywhere else in the world as they are here in Hawaii. I’m curious to know? While I was on the mainland my sister-in-law voiced her concern over me wearing one and quite frankly thought they looked ridiculous…lol. Everyone here wears them…really they do. So it never occurred to me they may not be on trend.
Well, my outfit may not be that exciting but I do have some exciting news. Next week the Fashion Informant will be celebrating the 25th linkup! I know, I can’t believe it either! It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know all of you through your fabulous blogs and I couldn’t be happier about the friendships I’ve made. So as a way of saying thank you for your participation, I’ll also be hosting a giveaway along with the next weeks link up.

This weeks Fashion Informant is Ann of Blue Hue Wonderland! I loved everything about her post last week. The photography location was an amazing compliment to her look. This season is about black and edgy textures and she has showcased the trend to perfection with this look. Be sure to stop by Ann’s blog and say hello. You’ll love the artistic vibe of her blog.
As always, I’ll also be linking up with Style Sessions, I Feel Pretty and Tres Chic Fashion Thursday

Thanks so much for featuring my blog! I appreciate your kind words and supportive comments.

When I lived in Hawaii, fashion was the last thing on my mind. I just wanted to stay cool since I lived in Kapolei. I don’t see trucker hats much here in Southern CA but you look great in yours! Love the island pride!!
Have a beautiful weekend!

I know what you mean Alice! I’ve worn a tank and shorts all month long. We don’t have AC in our house so it can get pretty miserable some days. I’m sure you remember the month of September is usually the worst. Ugh!
If I lived there, that’s what I’d wear every day! You look adorable, Sherry. So pretty.
I completely understand your disappointment with not being able to wear fall clothes. However, come Jan I will gladly trade places with you!! Casual looks great on you, you wear it well – still very put together.

The warm winter weather does make up for it
But I still miss those sweaters and cute jackets.
I remember when Trucker Hats were the ish here in SoCal– I remember all the girls my freshman year of college wearing their Von Dutch trucker hats!
If I lived in Hawaii tees and shorts would be my uniform as well– you rock it well!
Thanks so much Amanda! It only makes sense to dress casually on Hawaiian time!
I’m sure a lot of people would love to trade places with you! I would too especially when I grew up living in a country surrounded by beaches. I like your cap though, I’ve been wanting to have an accessory (anything!) that has a flag like that. I just think it’s cool. hehehe!
Thanks Kaye! Beach life does make up for the lack of fashionable outfits sometimes..lol. I do like the Hawaiian state flag.
Ah to be on the beach again, looks so peaceful! Thanks for sharing with Three-fer Thursday
